The Alvarez-Cohen Laboratory is a team of environmental engineers, microbiologists, and chemists working to understand and optimize the bioremediation of environmental contaminants, facilitate nutrient removal from wastewater, and explore the microbial ecology of complex communities.

The lab is based in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of California, Berkeley.
